New gold and bronze for two Iraqi athletics champions

The Iraqi national team players won new gold and bronze medals to be added to the Iraqi delegation participating in the Nowruz Jah Games in the Iranian capital, Tehran.

The two medals came through Banu Taha and Kurdistan Beh Mo Jamal in the women's 60m hurdles in halls, and a new Iraqi record is set with a time of 8.61 seconds for Banu Taha and 8.74 seconds for Kurdistan Beh Mo Jamal.

Meanwhile, the champion Banin Ahmed Abdul-Wahab set a new Iraqi indoor record in the shot-put event through a distance of 10.67 meters to finish fifth.
